Our Objectives

To develop the entrepreneurial sprit of AIESEC members globally and equip them with relevent skills. This makes them eager and able to make positive changes to the world. We aim to achieve this by:

Creating a strong learning environment
The Entrepreneurship Learning Network is the initiative jointly committed by 19 AIESEC countries in the Asia Pacific Network. It is the platform for exchanging and connecting knowledge, ideas and practices on global entrepreneurs and various organizations and students to broaden their knowledge and share practices around the topic.

Providing exchange opportunities
By providing exchange opportunities, we can share with future leaders come from places all over the world our experiences and perspectives. Also we can know more about how this important sprit is spreading in the world.

Creating a global network
We aimed at creating a global network of peers, institutions, organizations with a common ambition, which can support the young entrepreneurs to take action steps to implement their ideas.

What is Entrepreneurship?

Entrepreneurship usually talks about the practice of starting new organizations, particularly new businesses generally in response to identified opportunities. In AIESEC, we talk more about the sprit and characteristics of entrepreneurs rather than research on how to start a new business. We want to delevop our members with the entrepreneurship characteristics, which are:

- Passion to drive changes

- Enthusiastic vision to make things real

- Flexable to make adjustments in order to overcome any challenges

- “Never give up” attitude: will not stop even having lots of failures

- persistence and determination

- Risk taking, willing to try things that others dear not to do

- Think positive

- Decision maker

There are also different types of entrepreneurship in the world, and we will focus on the follow three thyes of entrepreneurship:

- Business Entrepreneurship: it is the most well-known type of entrepreneurship, which talks about setting up new businesses or expending the business to a new environment.

- Coporate Entrepreneurship: it talks about how coporate can invest in new type of business

- Social Entrepreneurship: it is about the setting up of civil society organizations, like non-profit making organizations, in order to serve the public needs.

Here is only a very brief introduction to what “Entrepreneurship” means, for more detailed description, the simplest way is of course going to http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Entrepreneurship#Characteristics_of_entrepreneurship.
